This weekend we travel out of town for a youth baseball tournament all weekend.
It’s going to be a hot one.
I have to say I really do enjoy baseball tournaments. Being outside in the sun, watching the kids play is a great past time.
However, protecting yourself from the heat has become vital. Just drinking water is not enough. And no, I’m not talking about consuming sugar water…
While most kids are going to be pounding the Gatorade and Powerade thinking they are replenishing electrolytes (okay, their parents are thinking that), the REAL answer lies somewhere else…
You read that right. Most people, including young kids are deficient in salt.
Now, I’m not talking about the junk salt you buy in the store that has been heated to 1100 degrees. I’m talking about real, air-dried sea salt.
The kind of salt that comes from multiple sources. Hawaii and the Mediterranean.
And I’ve got a good one for you.
It’s called Premier Pink Salt.
It’s by far the best salt I have ever used for my family and my patients. And you better believe I’ll be giving my kids salt water this weekend in the high heat.
Roughly about a teaspoon per day is what they need. Maybe more if they are really sweating.
No, this doesn’t cause high blood pressure. It’s real salt. Not kidney damaging junk you get in the stores.
In fact, I’ve had numerous people with high blood pressure correct it by taking salt everyday.
Now for a disclaimer…
If you do have high blood pressure, you need to monitor it when you start taking salt. Some people have damaged themselves too much already.
But the vast majority of people will start to correct some of their health issues.
I could go on and on about the benefits of salt. But trust me, it’s one of the foundations of any great health program.
And it’s inexpensive.
And another thing. Kids absolutely love the Premier Pink Salt. I don’t think a week goes by in the office where a young kid isn’t tugging on mom’s shirt saying they need more salt at home.
Have a great weekend.
P.S. The Premier Pink Salt is also the only salt I know of that is combined with volcanic ash. This ash is one of the most powerful forms of trace minerals.
