Hockey Player Increases Skate Speed With NeuroCentric Chiropractic And Unique Bone Therapy

A number of years ago I had a fast-as-lightning hockey player as a patient.

He was small, but fast and quick, and a great player. The problem was he kept complaining to his parents his quadriceps [muscles on the front of the thighs] didn’t feel like they were working.

His parents didn’t know what he was talking about because he was such a fast skater.

They found me online and made an appointment. Within seconds I agreed with my young patient. His quadriceps weren’t firing like they should.

When I did my NeuroCentric Strength Analysis, his quadriceps were “weak”. This means his brain was not putting full power to them. It was like a dimmer switch was on.

My job is to…

  1. Find the NeuroCentric Dysfunction.
  2. Figure out WHY it’s there, then fix it.

It took me a little while of searching and asking questions to find where it was coming from, but when I did…

Wow!

When this kids quadriceps were turned back on, they were strong!

It turns out he had broken a bone in his lower back years ago. When I had him stimulate the area of skin over the fracture site, his quadriceps immediately returned to full strength.

This can happen when the periosteum [outer covering] of the bone doesn’t heal correctly. This area is richly endowed with nerve endings and is a source of important input to the brain.

By doing some precise therapies to the area I was able to get his quadriceps strength back permanently.

In essence what I did was help his body restore the normal communication from the previously fractured bone to his brain.

Your body is sensory driven.

The input coming in to your brain [from eyes, ears, nose, joints, bone, skin, etc.] gives it information on what it’s supposed to be doing. If the incorrect information is coming in, then how do you expect your body to operate how it should?

In this hockey player’s case, his brain was getting a signal from the lower back bone telling him to limit his ability to contract his quadriceps.

It’s a protective mechanism. Without this mechanism we would tear ourselves apart.

In this case his body still thought there was a problem with the bone, even though it had healed a few years earlier.

Less than a minute of treatment to restore the proper communication and he was good to go.

And from what I hear he was faster than ever after the point!
