Knee Pain In Rec Volleyball Player Fixed With Treatment To The Gallbladder

As an Applied Kinesiology based doctor I am always looking to find the real cause behind somebody’s pain or problem.

It’s no different with something that is seemingly just a joint problem.

Every week I have people in my office who have been getting treated for something that isn’t the source of their problem.

This case was no different.

Although he had left knee pain and stiffness, especially the day after volleyball, the problem was not coming from the knee itself.

When I examined him, both of his Popliteus muscles tested weak (neurologically inhibited). These muscles are on the back of the knee in the crease, and control rotation of the lower leg.

Very, very important.

So now I knew the mechanism of why he was having pain. His muscles were not controlling his knee properly (it’s not uncommon to have the muscle weakness on both sides, but only have pain on one side).

But we still needed to know why.

Why were the muscles not working correctly and stabilizing his knees.

And with the right testing we can figure that out. In his case it was the gallbladder, the little sac under the liver that stores bile.

For whatever reason the gallbladder is on the same nerve circuit as the Popliteus muscles.

So when it gets clogged and dysfunctional the problem spills over into a muscle imbalance as well. And now it secondarily becomes a knee problem.

Within 1 week of taking the proper gallbladder supplements for his body, he was pain free.

Once again, the solution to this case had nothing to do with where the actual pain was. Yes, I had to adjust the knee and get it aligned properly, but I would still be doing this weekly if we didn’t fix the gallbladder.

And adjusting the same thing over and over again just doesn’t appeal to me.
