One thing that we find is that old (or new) scars can cause problems in distant areas of the body.
When I say scars we are talking about surgical scars, traumas, tattoos, piercings, etc. Junior hockey player Jimmy Tich had two surgeries, one on each hip from a congenital deformity of the ball of the hip joint. The surgery helped some of his impingement, but he still had some pain.
By using the mud packing over the scar sites he was able to relieve pain in the hips, but also the legs.
Without reestablishing normal function of the scar area, we find that distant areas can develop problems. If you have scars, this is one of the easiest things you can do. It is non-invasive, only takes about 15 minutes per time, and is extremely powerful.
I now have an entire new way of looking at scars. I sometimes use the mud, but I have learned new procedures in-office to release the nerves trapped in the scars.
