Soy Allergy

The following foods may contain soybeans or soybean oil:

  • Breads:   rolls, cakes, pastries, cookies, etc.
  • Sauces:   steak sauce, cheese sauce, soy sauce, etc.
  • Cereals:   almost all
  • Salad dressings (usually use soybean oil)
  • Meats: lunch meat, pork link sausages
  • Candies:   hard candy, nut candy, caramel
  • Noodles:   macaroni, spaghetti
  • Dry mixes:   soups, lemonade, etc.
  • Oils:   shortenings, lecithin, margarine, butter substitutes, sprays
  • Ice cream (some brands)
  • Canned goods:   sauces, soups, etc.

Suggestions: You should check all labels.  Soybeans and soybean oil are used for fillers in many foods.
